This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices and approach regarding the collection and use of any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us.

Sarah Moir is registered as a ‘Data Controller’ on the public Register of Data Controllers as maintained by the Information Commissioner in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 or any subsequent UK legislation resulting from EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

We collect information that you give to us when applying for vacancies and by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise.

Your personal details may include the following:

  • Your name, address, date of birth, e-mail address, phone number.
  • Salary information and future requirements/expectations.
  • Compliance documentation and references verifying your right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Educational history, qualifications and experience; curriculum vitae and photograph.
  • Links to your professional profiles available in the public domain e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter, or professional website/portfolio.

If we obtain data about you from other sources such as LinkedIn, job boards, online CV libraries, or personal recommendations, we will inform you, by sending you this Privacy Policy, within a maximum of 30 days of collecting the data of the fact we hold personal data about you, the source the personal data originates from and whether it came from publicly accessible sources, and for what purpose we intend to retain and process your personal data.

 

(2) What do we use the information for?

This information is held and used by us for the following purposes:

  • Matching your skill sets with relevant job vacancies, to assist us in finding you the position that most suits you.
  • Keeping you informed of relevant opportunities as they arise.
  • To put forward your details to our clients and prospective employers for you to be considered for vacancies.

(3) Security and data storage 

We will treat all of your information in strict confidence and we will endeavour to take all reasonable steps to keep your personal data secure once it has been transferred to our systems.

Please note that the internet is not a secure medium and we cannot guarantee the security of any data you disclose online. You accept the inherent security risks of providing information and dealing online over the internet and will not hold us liable for any breaches of your data protection rights attributable to the transmission of your personal data over the internet.

 

(4) Disclosure of your information 

Your CV and related information will be shared or sent to prospective employers (our clients). If you secure a new role through Sarah Moir, additional information will need to be provided to them to enable the placement to proceed.

 

(5) Retention of your data 

We only store your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes listed in paragraph 2.

6.3 Rectification: You may ask us to rectify inaccurate information held about you. If you would like to update the data we hold about you, please contact us.

6.4 Erasure: You may ask us to delete your personal data. If you would like us to delete the personal data we hold about you, please contact us and specify why you would like us to delete your personal data.

6.5 Right to object: You may object to our processing of your personal data pursuant to this Privacy Policy. Please contact us providing details of your objection

6.6 Make a complaint: You may make a complaint about our data processing activities to a supervisory authority, for the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk.

If we change our Privacy Policy in the future, we will set out those changes here, so that you will always know what personal information we gather, the purposes we might use it for and to whom we might disclose it.
