E-Commerce Manager (part-time)

A well-established, family-run retail business with international reach and a portfolio of distinctive brands is looking for a part-time (25 hours+) e-Commerce Manager to join their Exeter based team.

They’ve built a reputation on quality, craftsmanship and long-standing retail relationships — and are now investing further in digital growth.

You’ll be joining at a point where e-commerce is a real priority — and where you’ll have the space to shape what comes next.

Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on e-Commerce Manager role with real ownership.

You’ll lead the digital strategy across multiple brands and channels, balancing big-picture thinking with day-to-day execution. Reporting into the Managing Directors, you’ll be the person driving online performance and identifying where growth comes from next.

Day to day, that looks like:

  • Owning and delivering the digital strategy in line with sales targets
  • Driving acquisition and retention across key channels
  • Managing and optimising performance across PPC, SEO, paid social, email and affiliates
  • Overseeing e-commerce platforms and marketplaces (Shopify, Magento, Amazon, eBay)
  • Leading conversion rate optimisation and improving the customer journey
  • Tracking performance, analysing data and turning insight into action

It’s a role for someone who enjoys both thinking and doing — and who wants to see the direct impact of their work.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Experience in an e-commerce or digital trading role
  • A track record of driving online sales growth
  • Strong understanding of digital channels (SEO, PPC, paid social, email)
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento or similar)
  • Confidence using analytics to inform decisions
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities across brands or channels

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Experience in fashion, or consumer goods
  • Exposure to international e-commerce
  • Marketplace or retail partner experience
  • UX / CRO knowledg
